Marketing and audience engagement
As part of the stories we post on the El Estoque website, we also include tags. When viewers search for keywords, this makes it more accessible to find relevant stories. Generally, I include the author(s), source(s), and 3-4 main topics in the tags section.
Once we receive our physical magazines from the printing company, the Journalism class distributes them across campus. Each section has a specific building to target to increase the organization and efficiency of the process. Here, my section and I passed out the magazines in the B-building classes.
El Estoque runs a weekly Instagram poll called "Opinion of the week (OOTW)". My co-editor and I created the design together on Canva. Now, we run the weekly poll by brainstorming a relevant question to ask the school community. Here, I chose to run a poll about the 2024 presidential election since the results came out that week.
