On El Estoque, we send our published stories to our sources. This ensures that the individuals quoted in the story are accurately portrayed and can clarify any mistakes they may find in the article. Transparency is key to our publication as it builds more trust between our reporters and the student body.
The El Estoque EICs have an annual tradition of conducting a fake press conference with the entire class. The goal of the activity is to have the staff learn to ask significant questions, corroborate information between several sources and write a concise 100 word brief. Above is a draft of my brief.
