I am a staff writer for Monta Vista High School's award-winning publication El Estoque. I have previously served as an Opinion Print Editor, where I copy-edited interview-based stories, editorials, and columns (both intended for online publication and in our hardcopy magazine). As a contributor to El Estoque, I write articles in various sections such as News, Features, Arts and Entertainment, Sports and Opinion. The stories linked in the dropdowns under the "Reporting and writing" tab are articles I have published on the El Estoque website. Generally, the pitch-to-publish process starts by deciding on a story angle and reaching out to potential interviewees. Once we interview the sources, there is a multi-edit process that unveils the final product; this gets published either in our magazine or online.
